My name is Laurentiu Anton, but you can call me Laurie.

I am an international student pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

My career path has been winding and exciting. I'm educated as an engineer, physicist and mathematician. I've had the pleasure of working with organizations of various sizes and stages of development, serving as an engineer, manager and/or advisor in the electric power, higher education, and transportation sectors. Research wise, my interests are (currently) related to grid decarbonization, and the impacts of large-scale electric vehicle integration.

Outside of work, I spend my time thinking about fitness, nutrition, mental health, and how to live intentionally in an increasingly complex world. I am Romanian / Canadian and have a beautiful wife named Chelsea.
